You finally landed a meeting with the investor you’ve been chasing for months. This is your shot. You’re excited, confident, ready to make your case—until reality hits.
You need a pitch deck and time isn’t on your side.
With only 24 hours on hand, you decide to turn to AI pitch deck generators for a quick fix. But instead of an easy solution, you're swamped with a long list of tools—each labeled “BEST.”
While some stunning visuals, others offer AI-generated content, and a few claim to do it all.
The real question—which one actually delivers?
Well, there’s no need to waste hours testing them all—especially when someone (read: me) has already done the heavy lifting.
Scroll through to see my take on the 7 AI pitch deck generators I put to the test.
What is an AI pitch deck generator?
AI pitch deck generator is a tool that uses AI to build, design, and develop professional pitch decks. Such tools automate the entire, or a part of the creation process, by developing slides, content, visuals, and layouts of your pitch deck.
AI pitch deck generators seek minimal input and do major tasks, saving you time and effort to build stunning decks.
How did I test the best AI pitch deck generators?
Simply by putting them to the test. You see, businesses make the boldest claims on their website and quite sometimes the claims are rightful. However, unless you try a tool, you can never say if it will satisfy your intent or not.
Well, after researching and reading extensive reviews on G2, Capterra, Product Hunt, and TrustPilot—I picked 7 tools to test and build a pitch deck for my business idea.
Now my requirements are basic. I don’t expect AI to churn investor-ready pitch decks for me in an instant. All I expect is for the tool to:
- Focus on context instead of just beautifying the slides
- Give me a solid first draft that requires minor edits
- Give me an easy-intuitive interface that doesn’t require extensive learning
Well, with this basic checklist, let’s put the tools from my list to use.
7 Best AI-powered Pitch Deck Generators
Let’s now discuss the best AI-pitch deck generators that can be your companion in generating your next pitch.
1. Upmetrics
Upmetrics is quintessentially a business planning tool that offers an AI pitch deck creator as a part of its extensive functionality.
After setting up your workspace, you can choose from one of these options to start your business planning journey.
However, since we are rating AI pitch deck generators, I chose a pitch deck.
The process of collecting information is very intuitive. Everything from problem, solution, and target market to projections are taken into account as they gather information from you.
With each question, you get AI assistance to rewrite, revamp, or fine-tune the voice of your content. A few simple tweaks and you get the content most precisely suited for your business.
I loved the inbuilt AI assistant that could be used as a research assistant to gather important information, without going back and forth. Prompt it and it will also give you sources of the information.
For financial projections, traction, and milestones the tool offered an option to import data from the business plan and projections. In case, you chose to enter the details manually, the tool also offered an option to build on dummy data.
Once the details are filled, you can adjust the pitch setting for font sizes, orientation, and brand colors, and download it.
Now, I like the fact that I don’t need to wait till the end to see how my content shapes up. I get full control at each step allowing me to make adjustments to my content.
However, you can’t generate AI images with Upmetrics, and in terms of template, you don’t get much of a choice. However, if you’re someone who needs a deck with substance, depth, and context—Upmetrics stands at the top.
What’s impressive: Packs the expertise of planning specialists and ease of AI functionality into an intuitive and cost-effective tool. Perfect for situations when you want your pitch decks to help in securing funding.
What needs reconsideration: The visual aspects of the Upmetrics are standard and if you’re someone who needs exceptional interactive slides, Upmetrics might not be the best.

2. Storydoc
Storydoc aims to replace your static presentations with engaging and interactive web presentations.
It’s easy and intuitive to use. After asking for some not-so-overwhelming details and your email address, it generates a pitch deck that looks comprehensive and detailed (up to 20 pages).
Here, the visual on the right is actually a video. This can be changed using one of the free Stock videos or you can also upload videos from YouTube, Loom, Vimeo, or Vidyard. You can also prompt AI to build a customized video, however, that and the upload feature is only accessible to pro users.
Hover to the little blue box on the right with stars on it and change the layout or design of the slides. The magic assistant will offer multiple options to align your overall presentation.
As you move ahead, you will get a couple of slides discussing vision, key issues, solutions, KPIs, competitors, financials, and other important details in a visually appealing manner.
You can use AI to enhance, edit, customize, or adjust the tone of content in these places. Or you can also customize the prompt and get extremely nuanced content.
Overall, the tool makes an impressive and interactive presentation, given that you spend considerable time putting the layouts, visuals, and content together.
However, it’s expensive and you would require at least their pro plan to prepare a truly customizable pitch deck for investors or presentations.
What’s impressive: Building video as a native feature so that anyone who wants to create a highly immersive presentation can do that without relying on professionals
What needs reconsideration: Lack of proper in-app guidance to get you a full hang of its functionality and advanced features, and of course pricing

3. Slidebean
The process of creating pitch decks with Slidebean is pretty simple.
Simply enter your website URL and the tool will capture all the essential details it needs to develop a pitch deck.
If you don’t have a website (like me), you can enter your business summary and let the tool take over.
Upon analysis, Slidebean generated a 15-page functional pitch deck that covered important topics such as problems, solutions, traction, milestones, team, and financial projections.
And, while the AI generator did a quick job, it generated text-dense slides. The free version I tried at least, didn’t have an AI assistant to help me rewrite, edit, or enhance the content. Upon checking their pricing plans, I realize their paid plans don’t have that feature either.
In terms of layout and visuals, the output was functional but not impressive. The slides had drag-and-drop elements to manually adjust the text boxes and images.
As for the visuals, there was no relation between the content and the images. However, there’s an option to change and replace the image with free images in their gallery. There were also intuitive options to modify the theme, color palettes, and font sizes to match your branding.
And, lastly, there were emojis to add character and fun to your presentation.
I would say, Slidebean is a decent pitch deck generator that can win points for its simplicity. However, if you’re someone who needs visually striking and impressive pitch decks for presentations, Slidebean might disappoint.
What’s impressive: In-app navigation and simplicity to build a functional pitch deck. Oh, and you also get pitch deck templates that are in all honesty, more impressive than the AI-generated output.
What needs reconsideration: Requires a lot of editing, both in terms of content and visuals to get your polished deck ready.

4. Beautiful.ai
Beautiful.ai stands true to its name generating some of the most beautiful and visually appealing pitch decks for the users.
The setup is pretty simple. However, they do get your card details even when you opt for a free trial. If you forget to cancel, you will end up paying for the subscription.
Moving towards the process, after offering some pretty basic details, the AI generator will churn out a pretty comprehensive deck. You can intuitively edit, rewrite, and refine the text with its AI feature, which does a decent job.
However, what stood out for me was the image-generating capabilities of Beautiful.ai. You can feed your art ideas to the DesignerBot and this AI image generator will develop an image relevant to your prompt.
This tool is pretty intuitive. It has some remarkable features such as Smart Slides that will automatically arrange and adjust the similar items on your slide to be of the same size and font. Not only that, you get 60+ smart slide pitch deck templates to choose from.
Beautiful.ai offers you an extensive library of charts and graphs to choose from. You can quite easily adjust the granular details of the graph while collaborating with the team.
I personally loved beautiful.ai for its interactive video presentations and synchronization. Be it its feature of recording audio notes, extensive visual resources, or advanced customization offers—the tool does a pretty impressive job.
What’s impressive: Branding customizations, AI image generation, intuitiveness
What needs reconsideration: Clunky navigation at times and unsatisfactory customer service support.

5. PitchBob
PitchBob is a founder’s copilot that offers AI pitch deck creation as a part of its extensive functionality.
The tool asks you a couple of questions related to a target market, problems, value proposition, and market opportunity, forcing you to think clearly about the business fundamentals.
It then asks you a couple of questions related to co-founder, investment, and capital share to prepare a cap table from the perspective of potential investors.
At this stage, I realize the free plan only offers you a cap table. For the pitch deck, you need to subscribe to their paid plans. They could have clarified this earlier instead of just coying around.
However, for a pitch deck, PicthBob offers you 10+ fully customizable templates to choose from.
After asking you a couple of simple questions, it develops content for your pitch deck using ChatGPT and structures it in an informative and engaging manner. However, if you scan the content thoroughly, you will find it to be unpolished and unrefined.
There’s not much freedom like Beautiful.ai when it comes to visuals, but even in terms of substance and depth—PitchBob lags significantly.
This tool also offers “improve deck” functionality, where you can restructure, revamp, and curate your existing pitch deck into a strong powerful document. However, that’s for $149.
What’s impressive: Extensive functionality it offers in terms of overall business planning and attracting investment
What needs reconsideration: The content quality needs synthesis and refinement, and the process isn’t entirely user-friendly

6. Canva
Unlike other AI pitch deck generators, Canva doesn’t directly generate the pitch deck. It simply offers resources and AI functionalities to support the process of creating pitch decks.
Now, Canva offers you an extensive collection of pre-designed pitch deck templates to choose from.
You can choose a template or build your own if you have exceptional design flair. Knowing that I am bad at designing, I chose a template and got to work.
Now as for the content, Canva offers a Magic Write option that allows you to refine, revamp, or create entirely new content using AI in a jiffy.
It did a good job refining the content. However, unlike AI tools built specifically for pitch decks, Canva doesn’t encourage thorough thinking or support your research process.
I, however, loved its Magic Media feature to develop AI-generated images, graphics, and videos. The tool was easy to put-to-use and at least for my scope of work, did an impressive job.
Lastly, you get to collaborate with team members, assign them roles, and work on a pitch deck together. This makes the process supportive for businesses, where multiple inputs are essential.
Overall, Canva makes the designing process a breeze and refreshing for corporate nerds. However, pitch decks are more than visually striking slides. Its lack of depth and substance in business planning makes it a bit less competitive than tools like Upmetrics.
What’s impressive: AI image generation, polished templates, and brand kits that help maintain consistency
What needs reconsideration: Prominent focus on visuals (rather than content) and lack of structure to support planning endeavors

7. Beemerdocs
Beemerdocs promises to build your pitch deck in just 2 minutes. Bit of an exaggeration, I would say.
Anyway, I started with a free version and it doesn’t require your card details or anything. Brownie points for that.
As you find yourself building a pitch, you get to choose between different sorts of pitch decks you would want to build.
It then asks you a couple of questions about your business, target market, funding requirements, and USPs. However, here you don’t get an AI assistant to suggest answers or refine them.
In a way, it’s a good way to exercise your thoughts and fuel clear thinking.
Once the questionnaire is filled, you can choose to pay $5 and get an enhanced pitch deck built on top of GPT-4. I, however, proceeded with a free version and got this quick reminder.
After offering my email, I got a comprehensive 24-page pitch deck delivered to my mail. You can choose between PPTX and Google Slides to open the doc.
True to its reminder, the content was extensive (read: clunky). The image spaces were left blank for you to fill. The slides were very basic and bland, unlike the other AI tools we discussed in this blog post.
The way the process started, I had high expectations with the results. However, in terms of content, visuals, and intuitiveness—there’s much Beemerdocs could improvise.
What’s impressive: Serves the purpose for businesses that require a functional yet basic pitch deck
What needs reconsideration: Lack of AI features to support writing, image development, or editing process

In a nutshell
After trying these 7 tools to create my pitch deck, here are my final thoughts:
- Upmetrics is my ultimate favorite. No other tool came even a bit closer to capturing the high-value essence of my business as Upmetrics. Visually other pitch deck generators may have extensive features, but in terms of context and content, Upmetrics for me steals the deal.
- If you want your presentations to be interactive and video-rich, Storydoc is for you.
- Slidebean neither stood out for me nor was a complete outcast. It was a decent tool to create functional presentations. Just stay patient to put in hours for editing slide content and visuals.
- Beautiful.ai is truly a worthy and intuitive tool for creating beautiful presentations. Just make sure you cancel the subscription after offering your card details for a free trial.
- I would skip PitchBob because neither the process nor the results were intuitive, context-rich, or visually appealing.
- Canva would make a good choice for creating presentations that hit a sweet spot. But, if you’re going to pay, pay for AI tools that are specifically built on planning fundamentals.
- Beemerdocs has potential, but for now, its PPTX or Google slide outcome requires you to put in a lot of work.
AI-generated vs. expertly done pitch decks: can these be compared?
We’ve covered some impressive AI pitch deck creators in this blog. But can these tools ever replace the experts who’ve spent years crafting investor-ready presentations?
Well, AI pitch deck generators make it easy for any business, regardless of budget or design skills, to create a structured and visually appealing pitch deck in minutes. They’re fast, affordable, and highly accessible. Just a few inputs and you get a fully structured pitch deck ready.
However, here's the thing. AI tools struggle to create a narrative that feels seamless and persuasive. They can structure a deck, but they often miss the flow, context, and emotional pull that persuades the investors to buy into your vision.
You need experts for that. Experts who know how to frame your business in a way that speaks directly to investors.
An expert can build engagement from the first slide. They can connect ideas seamlessly, move beyond the data points, and create a strategic flow that strengthens your pitch and keeps investors hooked.
With every slide they build a case so compelling that by the end investors aren’t just informed—they’re convinced.
Choose what your budget allows
Now, pitch deck experts definitely hold an upper hand for the expertise and strategic inflow they bring.
Yet, with expertise comes the cost. Designing a pitch deck costs anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the level of customization, complexity, and expertise involved.
If that sounds like a worthwhile investment, hiring an experienced expert is the way to go. But if budget is a constraint—as it is for many startups—then AI tools like Upmetrics offer a more affordable way to get started.
The bottom line
With that, we wrap this extensive blog post about the best AI pitch deck generators.
Now, choose a tool that checklists everything on your requirement list and most importantly meets your budgetary allowance.
However, if you think your pitch deck can benefit from the expertise, insights, and strategic thinking of an expert, Plangrowlab can be of help.
With over a decade of experience, our expert professionals know exactly how to develop decks that captivate and intrigue the attention of potential investors in your business.
